Dec. 14, 2023 update – Las Floriditas has added a Thursday Latin music night, with a dance class led by Mobile Ballet master Israel Rodriguez. Social dancing follows with Azotando, a duo that sings Salsa and other Latin beats over recorded music. Information about this night is posted weekly on their Instagram page.
If you’re looking for a unique and exciting dining experience in Mobile, AL, then you need to check out Las Floriditas. This Cuban restaurant is a speakeasy that requires a daily password to gain entry, which is posted to their Instagram page daily at noon (@lasfloriditas). Once inside, you’ll be greeted by a cozy and intimate atmosphere, complete with multiple pictures of Ernest Hemingway adorning the walls.
One of the highlights of the venue is their extensive drink menu, which features mojitos, Cuba Libres, and several signature cocktails. Of course, no Cuban restaurant would be complete without delicious food, and Las Floriditas certainly delivers. The yucca chips are a must!
Bringing Cuban music into Las Floriditas is what will take this place to perfection, but for now live entertainment is offered Thursday to Saturday by a guitarist who plays funk and R&B.
There’s a dress code (although it didn’t seem to me to be strictly enforced) but check out the website for expectations.
Overall, this hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and exciting dining experience in Mobile. Don’t miss it!
